What is involved in the role of the Spatial Systems Analyst - Programmer? 

As the Spatial Systems Analyst - Programmer, you will work closely with customers and stakeholders to ensure the reliability, quality and sustainability of spatial solutions. 

As the Spatial Systems Analyst - Programmer, what can you expect to do?

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Responsible for the service support of Geographic Information systems and interfaces, working in line with Service Level Agreements.
  • Manage capabilities and support planning upgrades, drafting and maintaining procedures and documentation for support.
  • Investigate, evaluate and deliver clever spatial solutions that satisfy  business needs
  • Demonstrate proactive assessment and recommendations to ensure policy and procedures are implemented through technology and within regulatory compliance
  • Support change and release management of the GIS and associated applications
  • Focus on continuous improvement and facilitate testing on user groups and testing

What are we looking for in you?

Essential

  • Qualifications in IT / Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in working in cross functional teams, commercial IT and change
  • Qualification in Agile is desirable, as is experience within Energy and Utilities
  • Programming skills in areas including but not limited to java, magik and Oracle
