#TeamSPB is currently seeking an experienced Business Development and Marketing (BD&M) professional to join our Perth office to cover a period of parental leave. In this role you will work closely with the rest of our Australian BD&M team based in Perth and Sydney, as well our global BD&M team located in the US, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

The primary focus for this role is to work with the leadership and partners of the Perth office to execute business growth objectives, identify target opportunities, coordinate business development plans, coordinate local marketing and events initiatives, and work with related teams to continue to grow the firm's business base.

This role will perfectly suit someone who likes to roll up their sleeves and get on with tasks, but will also enjoy a collaborative and supportive culture. Flexibility around tasks undertaken is an essential component of this position. Similarly, the nature of the role is such that out of office hours work may be required to supervise or assist at events and functions etc.

As this is role will initially be for a period of 6 months, we are open to candidates seeking a fixed-term contract or to work on a contractor basis. We will also consider full-time or part-time hours.

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a business development and marketing role within a professional services organisation. An understanding of the legal environment is preferable.

We are looking for a strong team player who is also able to work independently with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to take a 'hands-on' approach to their work.

You will also have excellent attention to detail and listening skills, resilience, and be willing to take initiative. The ability to multi-task and handle a large volume of time-sensitive deadlines is essential.
