Description

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen in our Perth office for a high performing Litigation Senior Associate with an interest in regulatory, energy and/or competition law, to join #TeamSPB.

In this role, you will work within our full-service Energy & Natural Resources team working directly with two experienced energy and regulatory partners and a team of high performing associates, advising a variety of clients including corporate, government and regulators, such as the Economic Regulation Authority, on a range of complex commercial and regulatory advice and disputes matters.

To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in general litigation, and/or competition or regulatory matters. You will be able to apply superior analytical skills on matters of any complexity, provide integral strategic and creative thinking to complex matters and areas of law, work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to supervise and mentor more junior associates.

You will also be bright, self-motivated, innovative, commercially savvy and a strong communicator, as well as be technically excellent with a high level of attention to detail, and a genuine passion for the law.

In addition, you will have enthusiasm to play an active role in firm citizenship initiatives, including our DEI, ESG and Pro Bono initiatives, as well as providing mentorship to others and being a supportive and collaborative colleague.
