An opportunity has become available for an experienced Planner to manage the planning, coordination and the distribution of all Rheem Australia products nationally. This position is a 6 month fixed term contract.
Based at Rydalmere and reporting to the Planning Team Leader, this role will be the owner of supply plans, acting as primary contact for all stock availability enquiries and general network planning issues and resolutions, interacting with the Customer Support team, sales, production schedulers, purchasing planners and logistic counterparts.
Coordinate distribution of products nationally from sites to warehouses and distribution centres
Where required prepare supply/purchasing plans ensuring optimised capacity utilisation and costing whilst achieving stock targets
Review stock levels, preventing out of stock and overstock issues and when needed taking actions to solve them
Measure and analyse delivery performance, generating and distributing reports, and acting on stock distribution related issues
Support introduction of new products and product rationalisation with supply and distribution activities aimed to facilitate transition
Recommend system, process and stock level changes to achieve delivery and inventory level performance
This is a hands-on role that requires high analytical skills and minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in planning (supply and/or distribution). You will be a strong relationship builder, at ease dealing with conflict, and driven by working in a busy environment. Actively and continually looking at ways of improving performance will be second nature to you. Advanced Excel and SAP skills are required.
It is essential that you have previous experience in a similar role within either a manufacturing, FMCG or retail environment.
