An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join the Rheem Operations team based at Rydalmere for a 12 month contract position. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing cross discipline engineering leadership in advancing integration of mechanical, electrical and electronic automated process controls so as to optimise cost, safety and quality improvement opportunities in manufacturing.


Key elements of the role include:

  • Delivery of Project engineering excellence
  • Demonstrated advanced Project Management capability
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to take concepts through to successful integration via engineering and design to deliver cost effective and sustainable outcomes
  • Ability to be part of a cross discipline project engineering Team in delivering manufacturing capability via large scale project outcomes.


Qualifications and experience:

  • Have a professional engineering background and be able to demonstrate superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Degree level Engineering qualifications are essential.
  • Australian Industry experience and demonstrated performance in a large scale automated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated performance in the practical application of process automation encompassing mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering disciplines.
  • Project management skills including the ability to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate capital works.
  • Ability to establish work plans, monitor progress and complete work tasks on time and on budget.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to motivate and mentor peers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, department heads and higher level managers.
  • Superior Computer Literacy skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principals.
