The Role

This is newly designed and stimulating role and will be highly visible and instrumental in the growth of future commercial opportunities.  We are seeking an passionate and highly skilled Technical Sales professional to develop, grow and maintain profitable sales of the Solahart Commercial business unit, primarily within the Sydney Region.

Reporting to the Commercial Business Development Manager you will:

  • Develop a quotation pipeline of commercial opportunities
  • Perform onsite appraisals and regular ongoing commercial submissions to the BDM
  • Update CRM with projects and opportunities
  • Proactively generate leads to ensure pipeline sales targets are achieved
  • Identify key market segments for specific target commercial opportunities
  • Work with the Rheem Commercial team to leverage PV opportunities
  • Conduct external sales presentations and have regular call cycles
  • Use your electrical contractors licence to ensure all PV installations both residential and commercial are completed legally, professionally and to the highest standard

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong technical acumen and a strong passion for sales
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Proven track record of achievement in a similar role
  • HSC or equivalent
  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering to Technical field or a Trade qualification coupled with appropriate experience and computer literacy
  • A  current electrical contractors licence
  • A current drivers licence
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a front line sales/advisory/product development role

Travel away from home and occasional weekend work is essential in servicing the business. You will be an enthusiastic, target driven self- starter who has an understanding of exactly what is required to get the results.
