The role: Corporate Lawyer with 3-6 years experience
The Brisbane office has been
planning for the future. We're now looking for the right people to
support our growth in some targeted areas.
One of these areas is within our
Corporate team. The successful candidate will either be based in
Brisbane, Queensland, or willing to relocate.
Queensland, the sunshine state, is
a fantastic place to live and work and offers great weather, a
relaxed lifestyle and friendly people, with many beautiful beaches
and national parks a short drive from the CBD.
In this role you'll work closely
with one of our experienced Corporate Partners, Josh Steele.
You'll be exposed to a range of
interesting projects and clients and, in addition to working with
Josh, you will have the opportunity to work closely with other
reputable practitioners within our National Corporate team.
The successful candidate will have
experience with joint ventures, asset and company acquisitions and
disposals, capital raisings for both listed and unlisted clients and
a firm understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and
general corporate compliance. Experience in the energy and resources
sectors will also be advantageous.
This role will afford you with a
high degree of autonomy and ownership, whilst providing plenty of
opportunities to work closely with partners and to mentor junior
members of the team.
About Josh's practice
Josh is a corporate and commercial
lawyer, working with medium size growth companies, focussing on the
Energy & Resources and Technology sectors. He regularly assists
clients with capital raisings, share and asset acquisitions and
disposals throughout Australia, directors' duties, farm-in and joint
ventures, shareholder and boardroom disputes, as-well as providing
general contract and commercial advice. Josh Steele has been
recommended by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for Natural resources
(transactions & regulatory) in the 2021 and 2022 editions;
Energy (transactions and regulatory) in the 2020 edition; and he's
been named a 'Key lawyer for Corporate and M&A' in the 2022 edition.
The Brisbane office consists of
just over 50 staff and has been described by our team as down to
earth, professional, hard working and collegiate. We have a
