Experience the Kimberley in one of Australia’s most unique and untouched locations. Just over an hour’s drive west of Kununurra, WA, this property has something for everyone.
From first class Barramundi fishing, to remote waterfalls, thermal springs and endless gorges, these resorts will exceed all expectations for any adventurer, 4WD enthusiast or someone simply seeking new challenges and new experiences. With the Cockburn Ranges as a backdrop, El Questro offers an energetic and social working environment whilst providing the opportunity to explore our amazing backyard and experience the exceptional.
From April to October, El Questro’s three unique resorts, being Emma Gorge, The Station Township and The Homestead offer a diverse range of accommodation, dining and natural attractions to guests from all walks of life.
At El Questro, food and wine are as much an attraction as the wild country that surrounds the Resorts. The 80 seat Steakhouse serves a classic Steakhouse menu and also runs a seasonal pizza and burger cafe and weekly BBQ buffet. Emma Gorge boasts an 80 seat buffet area as well as the 40 seat Modern Australian a’ la carte Restaurant. Both venues serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a variety of formats in addition to catering for our many tours and activities.

What the successful candidate will bring to the role;
An unbelievable passion for food and creative flair
Extensive experience in 4/5-star hotels or resorts
A desire to understand and develop relationships with fellow employees
An enjoyment in socialising and having a laugh with your colleagues out of recognised work hours.
To lead your team by example and to help develop their skills within the kitchen.
A calm, cool as ice and positive ‘glass half full’ approach to dealing with day to day issues
An admiration for living in a remote wilderness paradise and have a love for the great outdoors!
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cooking and proven experience as a Head Chef.
Senior First Aid (Desirable)
This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at El Questro for the duration of the season. As such, please consider the reality of living in a remote location for an extended period of time. Delaware North offers competitive remuneration and remote living benefits.
