The Opportunity

We are looking for an ambitious litigator to join our government team on a full-time basis. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work across a diverse range of legally challenging and factually complex matters in the insurance and government sectors including:

• Intentional torts.
• Public liability.
• Property damage.
• Coronial inquiries.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A Bachelor of Laws or equivalent and a current New South Wales practising certificate.
• Minimum 2 years' post admission experience in government litigation or general insurance matters.
• Confidence to deal directly with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with experts in multiple fields.
• High degree of initiative, dedication and organisation ability with a strong client and commercial focus.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.
• A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively.
• A strong, plain language communication style.
