Retail Design Architect (6-8 years experience)

Due to increasing project success in large scale retail projects in Hong Kong and China, we are seeking a Retail Design Architect - Retail Projects Asia.  This person, working closely with the retail project teams will compose strategic design concepts then manage the team in developing and delivering world class design products that create high value assets for our retail clients.

Key Competences of the Successful Applicant will be: 

·         To assist the Project Director in the management of the conceptual design process and to take the leading role in the development of design solutions together with their incorporation and maintenance throughout the subsequent design.  

·         Development of conceptual design solutions to the design problems and parameters agreed with the client and as contained in the Brief together with providing assistance to the Project Leader and Project Director in the presentation of those solutions to the client.

·         Development and maintenance of a reputation and acceptance, both outside and within Woods Bagot as a skilled and innovative designer.  To keep abreast of developments in design techniques and trends.

·         Undertaking thorough research of both the client's needs and requirements and other similar or related projects to gain a full understanding of the design problems and parameters.

·         Assisting the Project Director in the formulation of the Client Brief for the project in conjunction with the client.

 Requirements:

·         Degree holder in architecture from recognised institution

·         Demonstrated creative design & experience in Asia region large scale retail projects

·         Strong conceptual design, communication and presentation skills

·         Sound experience in the management of projects (design + design team)

·         6-8 years post-graduate experience

·         Excellent communication in spoken & written English; Mandarin/Cantonese dialogue speaking will be an advantage 

·         Proficient in AutoCAD, 3Ds Max and hand sketching
