An opportunity exists for three Senior ICT Service Desk Analysts to join the newly formed National ICT Service Desk Team in our Melbourne office.

The National ICT Service Desk is the central point of contact for approximately 2000 employees in relation to all IT Incidents or Requests.

In your new role, you must ensure the customer interaction is a positive experience and therefore you must have a strong customer service focus over the telephone or face to face.

In this role, you will be seen as the expert in the eyes of the customer and will be required to use your expertise to resolve customer issues quickly and efficiently, providing customers with a sense of comfort and security.

  • Make no mistake, we are after the best. As the successful applicant you will have:
  • Strong customer focus ensuring the end user receives the best possible service in the timeliest manner.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT Service Desk role ideally with formal training or studies in IT
  • Familiarity with administrating Windows XP/7,  Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 and Microsoft Exchange environments  
  • Knowledge of Information Technology hardware and software, theory and practical
  • Demonstrated well developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to establish and use effective customer relationship management techniques within a service team.  
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask through peak periods of workload and must be able to juggle many different tasks while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Listening to customers, understanding the request or issue (including business impact), replaying and capturing the request in customer’s words
  • Experience supporting a diverse and constantly evolving IT environment in order to maintain an extremely high standard of customer service
  • Perform effective analysis and troubleshooting in order to effectively diagnose and resolve the incident being experienced by the customer
  • Strong customer-service orientation and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Able to research application issues and products.
