About this role
We have an opportunity for a lawyer to join our growing property & projects practice in Newcastle working with a highly regarded partner. The practice focuses on providing advice to local government bodies and the private sector in relation to major property developments and property related issues including land due diligence, multi-million dollar purchases and sales, commercial and retail leasing, licensing, compulsory acquisitions, easements, restrictive covenants, public covenants, public private partnerships and Crown land matters.
What you need
The successful candidate will have 3 - 5 years post qualification front-end experience in property and infrastructure related matters. In particular, experience in drafting, reviewing and advising on a range of property and project delivery agreements as well as advising on property law and related legislation is required. Experience in drafting and negotiating of contracts and general commercial law experience is also preferred. You will have strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, have excellent technical skills, a strong client service ethic and a keen interest in the property and infrastructure sectors.
