Chef de Partie
Heron IslandResort is offering a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced Chef de Partie to be based at the resort located approximately 80kms off the coast of Gladstone in Central Queensland. The tropical island is a natural coral cay that forms part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
The role will offer variety and challenge as you will also play a role in supporting the Executive Chef with menu planning and design, inventory control, managing food & labour costings, report writing, staff training and development and ensuring compliance with HACCP.
What you will bring to the role;
Demonstrated experience in a la carte and function work in a similar environment
A passion for food and creative flair
High standards of operational compliance
Sound knowledge of commercial cooking
Passion for delivery outstanding food service to guests
Experience in menu planning and design preferred
Proven ability in leading, developing and motivating a small team of chefs, cooks and stewards
Solid knowledge of relevant federal and state legislation
Friendly and flexible disposition that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
Certificate in Food Hygiene or willingness to obtain
