Heron Island Resort is offering a rare opportunity for a motivated and experienced Front Office Manager to join our team based at the resort located approximately 80kms off the coast of Gladstone in Central Queensland. The tropical island is a natural coral cay that forms part of the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
Heron Island is a tropical island situated on the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. Our team have the honour of showcasing the crystal clear waters, idyllic dive locations, amazing marine and bird life to our guests. The resort comprises of 109 guest rooms, restaurant, bar, spa facilities, 20 different dive sites, fishing locations and retail stores. Reporting to the Resort General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the Front Office.
Your responsibilities will include;
Liaising with various resort departments to ensure our guests experience the most memorable of experiences and the very highest levels of service
Coordinating guest arrivals & departures
Maintaining guest accounts and banking
Rostering of all Front Office Receptionists and Porters
What you will bring to the role;
Extensive hotel / resort front office experience at a management level
Guest and team focus
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
High motivation with a collaborative leadership style
Superior organisational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Previous experience with Fidelio OPERA PMS
