Northern Rise is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill our Healthy Lifestyle Coordinator role on site.

The role is offered on a 2/2 basis and provides the opportunity to gain mine site experience in a village environment.

 

The Purpose of Your Role

The Northern Rise Health and Lifestyle coordination program is based on delivering physical health through fitness coaching, injury prevention, sport, recreation, site social activities and special events, creating a cohesive working and community environment.

‘What you have to do’

  • Manage the promotion and implementation of the Northern Rise Health and Lifestyle programs across Project Sites;
  • Develop and implement an annual calendar of events to ensure a healthy and active work force;
  • Develop and implement associated HSE training programs to the work force;
  • Work with Northern Rise Project managers to ensure the highest quality service is offered to clients and customers;
  • Actively embrace and promote the Northern Rise health and wellbeing culture to support healthy lifestyles for our clients and customers;
  • Preparation and distribution of a fortnightly site newsletter;
  • Clean and maintain recreational facilities fit for use, including ensuring all equipment is properly stored and available for use.
  • Monitor, test and clean swimming pool on a daily basis in accordance with the SOW and Australian Standards.
  • Support administration / reception for 2 – 3 hours per day.
  • Manage all employee incident reporting;
  • Display a strong commitment in driving positive safety culture, displaying proactive leadership at all times;
  • Deliver a variety of Group Fitness classes;
  • Effectively communicate with all guests, colleagues, customers and clients

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed to Perform This Role

  • Nationally recognised Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Knowledge of relevant standard operating procedures for all relevant equipment
  • High level of communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work cohesively with and influence personnel from diverse backgrounds
  • High level of enthusiasm and commitment to creating and leading a positive sense of community in the village
  • Strong conceptual thinking, problem solving skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of nutrition, nationally recognised qualifications in this area preferred.
