With the Cockburn Ranges as a backdrop, El Questro offers an energetic and social working environment whilst providing the opportunity to explore our amazing backyard and experience the exceptional.
From April to October, El Questro’s three unique resorts, being Emma Gorge, The Station Township and The Homestead offer a diverse range of accommodation, dining and natural attractions to guests from all walks of life.
At El Questro, food and wine are as much an attraction as the wild country that surrounds the Resorts. The 80 seat Steakhouse serves a classic Steakhouse menu and also runs a seasonal pizza and burger BBQ and weekly BBQ buffet. Emma Gorge boasts an 80 seat buffet area as well as the 40 seat Modern Australian a’ la carte Restaurant. Both venues serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a variety of formats in addition to catering for our many tours and activities.

The successful candidate for the role will possess:
Proven experience managing a kitchen in an a’ la carte restaurant or similar venue
Hands on working knowledge of buffet and function service
Attention to detail and ability to achieve highest standards of food quality
A passion for food and creative flair
Butchery and pastry experience (Desirable)
Proven success in managing, developing and motivating a small kitchen team
Demonstrated track record meeting financial targets for food and labour costs
Sound knowledge of HACCP and ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety regulations
Friendly and flexible disposition that provides high levels of guest service and encourages feedback
Strong communication and organisational skills
High level of professionalism in the workplace
Ability to work well under pressure
Personal grooming standards suited to a guest focused business
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cooking.
Senior First Aid (Desirable)
This is a remote role, where you will be living and working at El Questro Wilderness Park for the duration of the season.
