What are we looking for?

  • An excellent culinary background with a minimum of 4 years’ post apprenticeship experience
  • The ability to lead, develop and motivate team members in the pursuit of excellence
  • A strong drive for success understanding the importance of flexibility
  • The ability to foster and drive a team think approach
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • To maintain an active approach to the continued culinary growth of the SCG and Allianz Stadiums

This position offers the opportunity for a leading Sous Chef to take responsibility for the daily operational requirements of one of our many kitchens within the functions and corporate facilities.  The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer service is essential. This senior role requires a chef who can demonstrate:

 

  • Experience working within a kitchen facility
  • Experience in banqueting, corporate hospitality or restaurants
  • A genuine passion for innovative and quality food
  • An understanding of leadership and organisational skills
  • An understanding of the benefits of sound planning and logistics management
  • A passion for cooking & eagerness to learn
  • A Certificate III/IV Commercial Cookery
  • Availability to work nights and weekends according to business demands
  • Possess or be willing to obtain HACCP certification
