What are we looking for?

Based at Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium we are seeking a full time Staffing Coordinator to own the rostering of our casual workforce for game days. Our Staffing Coordinator is part of the HR Team and works closely with our site Operations Team through effective use of rostering technology coupled with friendly and timely communication to all team members.

This position is highly administrative and is responsible for filling and confirming shifts for our events at least 2-3 weeks in advance as well as maintaining and updating the database to reflect team member skills and competencies. Being computer savvy, knowledge of and experience with online rostering systems will make you a front runner for this exciting full time position.

Some of the career developing tasks this busy role entails will include (but not limited to):

  • Responding to team members phone, email and walk-in enquiries or concerns
  • Having complete ownership and accountability for the rostering function
  • Rostering using Inzenius system
  • Support the business as we move to a new rostering system Time Target
  • Managing and maintaining a broad casual staff pool
  • Making alterations to rosters in line with Management direction to ensure effective staffing models based on crowd predictions and forecasts

What do you need?

To be considered a strong candidate you must be able to demonstrate:  

  • High level attention to detail
  • Strong administration skills and strong negotiation skills
  • Strong organisation, multi-tasking and time management skills 
  • Friendly, proactive and supportive attitude
  • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic 
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines (you could be rostering up to 600 casuals for major Event days!)
  • Able to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
  • A staffing background within hospitality/agency environment 
  • Be computer savvy, preferably having worked with electronic rostering systems (Time Target highly advantageous!)
  • The successful candidate will be achievement orientated and focused on task completion
  • Ability to be constantly forward planning, remaining highly organised and process driven 
  • Genuinely customer focused with an exceptional telephone manner 
  • Flexibility and capability to reprioritize workload as required. This role will involve weekend and after hours work due to Event days. RDO policy will of course apply to ensure you have a good work/life balance
