The organisation

City West Water (CWW) is one of three Victorian Government owned retail water businesses in metropolitan Melbourne.  We provide drinking water, trade waste, recycled water, stormwater harvesting and sewerage services to over 400,000 residential and non-residential customers in Melbourne’s central business district, inner and western suburbs. CWW is embarking on a new strategy. This strategy articulates what is important for our customers and CWW with a view out to 2030. Providing focus and aligning the many components of CWW ensures we’re delivering a better service for our customers, in a way that puts them first.

A key enabler of this new focus is the dynamic use of technology to help deliver the capabilities our customers deserve and our business demands. The role of Chief Information Officer will drive these technology outcomes in partnership with their CWW business counterparts.

Here is your opportunity to join this critical services organisation and be part of the new Executive Leadership Team driving this exciting change.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will play an integral part of the Executive Leadership Team to help CWW’s capabilities and services in support of CWW’s strategy. The role will drive the implementation and adoption of IT capability and technology while developing capabilities to support the implemented solutions on an ongoing basis.

The person

You will have extensive experience in an executive or senior management position having worked in complex operational environments with a ‘leadership first, technical expertise second’ approach.

Crucial to your success will be a proven track record in driving operational efficiencies, process improvements and implementation of innovation to improve value to customers. You will be a highly regarded leader having the ability to retain, recruit and develop a diverse and capable workforce.
