Job Overview

We currently have an opportunity available for an Accounts Executive to join our Financial Management team in Singapore. In this role, you will work closely with the Operation Manager in Singapore and will be responsible for the daily accounting function of the Singapore office.

This is a broad role, supporting delivery of key financial activity which will be both operational and strategic in nature to deliver the firm's strategic objectives.

This is a 12 months contract role with potential to convert to permanent, depending on business needs.

Main Tasks

Treasury / Accounts payable / Accounts receivable

  • Manage payment requests and online banking applications
  • Chrome River AP review and follow up with the relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare treasury reports, AP lists and report bank balances to the treasure department
  • AP upload to 3E, ensuring completeness in preparation and collation of documentation for fund transfer
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures for all processes
  • Responsible for the daily accounting function, month end closing, audit, annual return and other reporting requirements

Tax Compliance / Audit

  • Assist operation manager in preparation of corporate tax filing and employer tax filing with assistance from the Global Tax team and external tax advisors (as required)
  • Ensuring statutory compliance where necessary
  • Support Operations Manager in reviewing general ledger for local reporting
  • Assist in preparation work for local audit

Others

  • Assist with the implementation of internal finance policies (as required)
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including partners, and other business services functions
  • Respond to internal enquiries and requests on financial matters and information
  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc analysis and reports
  • Ad-hoc tasks / projects as and when required

Essential Skills

  • Degree qualified CA/CPA with at least 4 years of working experience as a finance professional
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication and interpersonal skills to interact with lawyers and members of the Finance Management and other Business Support functions effectively
  • Independent, highly analytical and numerically strong
  • Positive working attitude and strong sense of responsibility and work ethic
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management
  • Flexible and ability to handle multiple priorities, duties and internal and external clients
  • Resilience, with the ability to thrive and effectively work with continuous change, and tight deadlines
  • Excellent level of technical ability in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Prior experience in legal or professional services firms and knowledge of tax and compliance laws in Singapore are highly preferred
