The Opportunity:

We have an excellent opportunity for a Lawyer to join our Project Finance team in Perth, which is led by Gaelan Cooney. Embedded within our Projects and Energy Transition Team, the Perth team offers works on a range of finance transactions, including project finance, corporate finance, acquisition finance, property finance and structured prepayments.all with a sector focus across the infrastructure, utilities, energy and resources sectors.

Our project finance practice operates on a global basis with teams based in London, Frankfurt, Milan, Madrid, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, New York and across Australia. Our Australian project finance team also handles major projects across all Asian jurisdictions as well as in all Australian states and territories..

About You:

  • 2-4 years' post-qualification finance experience at a major law firm;
  • A commitment to develop a financing practice supporting the development of major projects, either based on previous experience or (in the case of more junior lawyers) aspirational preference;
  • Strong technical skills in relation to finance law and drafting coupled with an ability to address legal advice within a commercial context;
  • Client facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client
