About Ashurst Korea JV:

Ashurst Korea JV is the first Korean joint venture law firm in South Korea, eastablished by leading global law firm Ashurst LLP and Korean full-service law firm HwaHyun.

Role Overview

To provide reception cover to the office and secretarial support to lawyers.

Main Responsibilities

Reception duties

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all external visitors and dealing with visitors in a professional and effective manner
  • Answering all incoming calls, mail and deliveries
  • Managing bookings and allocation of conference rooms
  • Ensuring conference rooms are ready to use (e.g. with sufficient stationary in stock) and assisting with room set up for meetings or events
  • Keeping the reception area clean and tidy at all times

Office administration

  • Preparing office premise access cards for visitors and employees
  • Assisting in supervising premise maintenance and touch-up work as requried
  • Arranging orders of business cards and stamps
  • Sending visitor and office updates to the office
  • Updating and circulating office seating plan
  • Taking responsibilities for all administrative tasks related to running a reception desk

Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Essential Skills

  • Relevant prior experience gained within a corporate or professional services environment preferred but not necessary
  • Excellent client service, time management and communication skills
  • Good technical ability in relation to Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail, able to work within a team or independently, to produce accurate work
  • Remains resilient in pressurised situations
  • Communicates clearly and confidently at all levels
  • Demonstrates an ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professional discretion
  • Ability to cope with conflicting demands on time
  • Uses initiative to develop new ways of doing things
  • Flexible and adaptable to change in line with business demands
  • Proactive and eager to offer help and support across the team and firm
  • Fluent in English and Korean
